Frequently asked

Questions, answered gently.

A few of the things we're most often asked about facials, skin treatments and your time with us. Anything not covered? Call and we'll happily walk you through it.

Your first visit

  • Do I need a consultation before my first treatment?

Yes. New clients begin with a brief skin consultation so we can match the treatment to your skin, history and goals. It also gives us a chance to flag anything we'd like to know — sensitivities, recent procedures, current products — before we begin.

  • How early should I arrive?

We suggest arriving 5–10 minutes before your appointment so you can settle, and so any new-client paperwork doesn't shorten your treatment time.

  • Should I wear makeup to my appointment?

It's entirely up to you — we'll thoroughly cleanse your skin as part of the treatment regardless. If you'd like to come barefaced you're absolutely welcome.

Treatments & outcomes

  • Which facial is right for me?

That's exactly what the consultation is for. Skin is dynamic — what suits you in winter may not suit you in summer; what suits you in your twenties may not suit you in your forties. We'll choose the treatment that matches your skin today.

  • How often should I come in?

It depends on the goal. Maintenance facials sit comfortably at every 4–6 weeks (the natural skin cycle). Treatment plans for concerns like pigmentation, breakouts or texture may follow a tighter sequence at first, then settle back to maintenance.

  • Will I see results immediately?

Most facials leave skin looking fresher, calmer and more luminous straight away. Deeper changes — clearer texture, more even tone, firmer feel — typically come from a series of treatments combined with consistent home care.

  • Is there downtime after a chemical peel or microneedling?

There can be, depending on the strength of the treatment. We'll talk through what to expect and how to plan around any social or sun-exposure considerations during your consultation, before we proceed.

Aftercare

  • What should I avoid after a treatment?

It varies by treatment, but as a general rule we recommend pausing strong actives (retinols, vitamin C in some cases, exfoliating acids) for 24–48 hours, avoiding excess heat (saunas, intense exercise) on the day, and being especially careful with SPF in the days that follow.

  • Do I need to use specific products at home?

Not necessarily — but the right home routine multiplies your results. We'll make honest recommendations based on what your skin actually needs, never an aggressive upsell.

  • Is sunscreen really that important?

Yes. UV exposure undoes more skincare than any single factor. Daily SPF is the most powerful step in any skincare routine — especially around (and between) clinical treatments.

Booking & logistics

  • How do I book an appointment?

The simplest way is to call 0426 84 2226 — we'll find a time that suits and confirm any details. You can also send an enquiry through the contact page and we'll get back to you.

  • What's your cancellation policy?

We respectfully ask for advance notice if you need to reschedule so we can offer your time to another client. Specific terms are confirmed at booking.

  • Do you offer gift vouchers?

Vouchers may be available — please call us to confirm current options.
